How does being certified as a PM make one competent to perform the job?
Emphasis is now being placed on obtaining certifications by most organizations but does that translate to being competent and able to do the job?

I am not all that big about cert. I believe having an advanced degree and experience will take you to the highest limit.

ReplyDeleteI don't believe tht anyone should really be a PM for more than 5 years without thinking Senior PM, Program Manager/Director Portfolio Manager type roles and an advanced degree would help you break the mould
